She completed successfully her studies in Economics and Market Policy at the University of Bologna, with a thesis in modelling and forecasting electricity prices in the Italian electricity market, with cum laude. Later began Valbona Karapici her PhD studies as an external PhD student at the Department of Public finance at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg.
