Bio

Eva is a mid-career energy professional with 6 years of experience in energy access and international development. Her experiences span various renewable energy technologies and geographies, including developing mini-grid business in Tanzania, leading research projects across sub-Saharan Africa, and managing financing facilities for rural energy systems in Benin. Eva seeks to further develop her competencies in energy policy and regulation, with a lens on developing economies.

• Technical Advisor

  As Technical Advisor at the Grüne Bürgerenergie project, Ms. Lee is responsible for the Productive Use Component and Monitoring and Evaluation of the Benin team. She led the design and operation of two flagship results-based financing facilities to support market development for solar agricultural appliances, which boasts 150+ installations for rural cooperatives, agri-businesses, and SMEs.

  Power for All - Full-time From July 2018 to July 2020

  As Research Manager at Power for All, Ms. Lee led a team of interns and student researchers and conducted research for energy access advocacy. Her key publications cover a wide range of topics, including the employment footprints of energy access, and geospatial analysis for integrated energy planning.

• Business Analyst

  E.ON Off Grid Solutions - Full-time From July 2017 to July 2018

  As a Business Analyst at E.ON Off Grid Solutions, one of the biggest mini-grid developers at its time, Ms. Lee conducted extensive analysis of mini-grid tariff structure, customer socioeconomic profiles, and system sizing cost efficiency. In close collaboration with the Finance team and Engineering team, she introduced 10+ demand stimulation initiatives, such as time-of-use tariff and new appliances, which helps align the cost structures of solar systems and consumption load profiles.
