My name is Sophia Pena Pereira and I'm Energy Policy Officer at BEUC, the European Consumer Organisation, in Brussels. I work on consumer rights and protections to support Europeans in the energy transition. My focus is on ensuring access to affordable and clean energy - particularly for heating and cooling - to make homes more affordable, energy-efficient, and comfortable. Before joining BEUC, I was a trainee at the European Commission, where I worked on energy consumer policies at DG ENER.
