Laura Sanna is a PhD candidate in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology at the Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on advanced nuclear energy systems, including the development of innovative materials for next-generation reactor technologies and their role in the transition to low-carbon energy. She is Treasurer of Women in Nuclear Italy (WiN Italy) and was awarded the NEST Fellow of the Year 2025 by the Nuclear Energy Agency under the Nuclear Education, Skills and Technology (NEST).
