Bio

Associate professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. Main research and teaching activities focus on Life Cycle Thinking methodologies, both in terms of methodological developments and applications for sustainability assessment in the field of waste treatments and circular economy strategies, and more generally in environmental engineering. Co-coordinator of the research group AWARE (aware.polimi.it). Founder of the Polimi LCA network.

    Research activity is mainly about the analysis based on the life cycle thinking approach of environmental remediation technologies, waste prevention activities, circular economy strategies, and complex systems. Teaching activitiy includes a 10 credits course about Life Cycle Assessment methodology and a 6 credit course about Sanitary environmental methodology for master students, and two courses about basic and advanced LCA for PhD students.
