Bio

I am a PhD researcher in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Birmingham. My research focuses on sustainable polymer-derived carbon materials, with particular interest in lignin processing, structure–property relationships, and thermal conversion. I use a combination of materials characterisation and process optimisation to improve performance and reproducibility.
