Roberta Ruggero

Bio

Roberta is a Project Associate at the Florence School of Regulation (FSR), where she supports the Lights on Women initiative and the School’s strategic development. She began at FSR as a Training Trainee, then became a Training Assistant before taking on her current role. She holds a BA in Sociology and an MA in Cultures, Education and Global Society from the University of Padua. Her previous professional experiences include working at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna (Austria).

• Project Associate

  Florence School of Regulation - Full-time From September 2025 to Present

  I coordinate activities for the Lights on Women initiative and contribute to the School’s overall strategic development. My work includes managing projects and events, supporting stakeholder engagement, and overseeing communication and outreach efforts.

• Training Assistant

  Florence School of Regulation - Full-time From June 2024 to August 2025

  I assisted the Training team at FSR with planning, organising, and running online and residential training courses.

• Advocacy Assistant

  United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime - Internship From June 2023 to December 2023

  I assisted with the implementation of the HIV/AIDS Section programme of work as it relates to UNODC mandate on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support related to drug use and prison settings.

• Project Assistant

  BioComp Up Lab - Internship From November 2022 to May 2023

  I also assisted with the management of two projects, which received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
