Within Energy Pool, the role of the International Development Business Unit is to promote Energy Pool’s expertise throughout the world, working for flexible, sustainable and low-carbon energy.

To strengthen its International Development team and accelerate its development, Energy Pool is recruiting a 12-month renewable VIE contract for a VIE Business Developer Italy.
As a VIE, you will report directly to the Senior Business Manager Europe. You will be in charge of market research, analysis of local regulations and will take part in defining the company’s commercial strategy in Italy.

Details of the post

Energy pool is looking to expand its activities in Italy.

As a VIE, you will report directly to the Senior Business Manager Europe. You will be in charge of market research, analysis of local regulations and will take part in defining the company’s commercial strategy in Italy.

As such, you will be required to carry out the following tasks:
Energy market research and analysis;
Drafting of technological and regulatory intelligence on opportunities for electrification and decarbonization of industry in the Italian market:
Financing mechanisms for decarbonization
Drafting of market intelligence in the Italian electricity sector:
Understanding balancing mechanisms, monitoring regulatory developments
Competitive intelligence
Regulatory lobby coordination with support from Energy Pool teams
Assist and support the Sales Manager in the creation and definition of new customer offers
Evaluate the flexibility of production and consumption sites in support of the Flex and Process Transformation Business Line teams

Position based in Milan. Regular travel in Italy and sporadic travel in France are to be expected.

Requirements

  • 5-year degree from a business or engineering school.
  • Previous experience in the energy sector (purchasing, trading, IT solutions provider, consultant, analyst) and/or as a business developer would be a plus.
  • Fluency in Italian, French and English.
  • Knowledge of the actors in the energy sector.
  • Good command of the Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • High degree of autonomy and commercial and technical sensitivity. You are also able to show initiative, curiosity and strong motivation, and have an appetite for solving complex problems.

Besides, you have to:

  • Be between 18 and 28 years old
  • Have been resident in France for at least 6 months
  • Be a citizen of a country in the European Economic Area (excluding Italy)
  • Not have a fiscal existence in Italy (paid internship, job)
  • Have a social security number in France
  • Be in compliance with national service obligations (Journée de Défense et de Citoyenneté)
  • Enjoy full civil rights (voting rights and clean criminal record).
  • Have a bank account in France

  • Energy management
  • Initial experience in the energy sector (purchasing, trading, IT solution providers, consultant, analyst) and/or as a business developer;
